At Vence Dentistry, we bring your smile plan to life. The preliminary steps of the treatment process are the most important: you are a genuine partner in your care, and together we can work out a course of action to accomplish your dental goals. Our dental team utilizes a combination of experience, advanced technology, and collaboration to develop an action plan designed to enhance your oral health, comfort, and natural function while creating a beautiful new smile. New technologies go hand-in-hand with proven principles to give you the best dentistry available.
Dr. Brian Vence has spent his entire professional career refining his skills and learning new techniques to deliver esthetic, natural-looking, precision restorations designed to deliver the smile of your dreams. With our Digital Smile Design program and comprehensive, inclusive treatment planning, we believe we can help you achieve your goals with results that meet – and perhaps even exceed – your expectations!
Digital Smile Design – Creating Your Smile and Seeing the Potential Results
Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a state-of-the-art way to utilize computer technology to analyze your smile and use digital and 3D animation techniques to modify the appearance of your teeth. This process allows our team to take high-resolution photographs of your oral structures from a variety of angles, which can then allow you to view the images and tell us what you like and don’t like about your smile. Once we talk about ways you can improve and enhance the look, function, and health of your teeth, the images can be manipulated to create a Digital Design Mock-Up in order to show you the potential results of treatments you may be considering. Digital Smile Design can be very beneficial for individuals who are considering porcelain veneers, dental implants, and other restorative and cosmetic dentistry treatments. While DSD may not be able to forecast the results of procedures with 100% certainty, it can go a long way toward presenting you with a clear and precise view of how the potential outcome of specific treatments may affect your smile aesthetics.
Dr. Vence has achieved the level of DSD Master, and is exceptionally skilled and experienced with this technology and fully understands how it can benefit patients. One of the major advantages of the DSD process here at Vence Dentistry is that it is a truly collaborative effort. In fact, communication is key: Dr. Vence and our team want you to be a partner in your treatment. As you view the potential results of your procedure through the DSD program, you can tell us how you would like your smile to look, whether you like the way a certain treatment may affect your smile, and what changes you would like to see. Our dentist will comprehensively explain the treatment process and answer all of your questions. Digital Smile Design is not just a futuristic way for you to see what your smile can look like after treatment is performed—it is ultimately an exercise in collaboration. Your input is not only valued, but vital to the entire process!
The Co-Discovery Treatment Planning Process
Like the Digital Smile Design program, our practice involves you throughout every step of treatment planning. We refer to it as “Co-Discovery,” the collaborative process between you, our dentist, and the skilled members of our dental team. At your first appointment, you will be evaluated and our dentist will talk with you about your needs. We will take images of your oral structures, explain what we are seeing, and review the diagnosis with you. We will listen to your concerns, describe the recommended treatment options, and ultimately leave it up to you to decide how you would like to move forward. Our team will always comprehensively explain how a certain treatment can work to your advantage (or not), and help you understand what your decision can mean in terms of the time and energy it will take, how much it may cost, and what the outcome may be.
The team at Vence Dentistry is committed to spending the time necessary with you to fully explain all aspects of the treatment you are considering. This is why we schedule patient appointments in a way that reserves ample time for each patient, as we believe that individuals should never feel rushed and are always given the time they need to formulate a complete understanding of the treatment process.
